Welcome to ChasingTheJD
Hello Everyone!
My name is Arul, and I am the founder of ChasingTheJD. I started ChasingTheJD because too many people are chasing law school alone.
The truth is, I'm on this journey too. I'm not writing from the finish line—I'm writing from the beginning of it. The LSAT. Applications. Deadlines. Pressure. Doubt. Second-guessing yourself at night. Wondering if you're doing "enough."
I'm experiencing it firsthand, just like many of you. I am currently a senior in college, and everywhere I look, whether it's LinkedIn or even coffee conversations, everyone is accepting full-time offers and announcing their next chapter. Meanwhile, I'm studying for the LSAT. I'm not going to lie—there are moments when that feels incredibly underwhelming. After a long phone conversation with my mom, she made me realize it's easy to feel behind when your path doesn't look like everyone else's.
That feeling of being "behind" that I mentioned above is actually the reason why I created this platform. I feel like if I'm experiencing this uncertainty, self-doubt, and pressure, there are probably many others in the same boat. Let's keep working quietly towards our long-term goal because at the end the reward will be so much sweeter!
To those who are reading this: I understand that we aren't taking the obvious route. Keep betting on yourself, and don't worry about the immediate gratification because that will come later. I know that for sure, even though I'm not experiencing it yet.
Trust the progress. Not everything has to be loud or immediate. Our timeline will fall into place exactly when they're meant to.
Thank you for being here—and make sure to follow @chasingthejd on Instagram for daily posts. Let's build a community together.
Much love,
ChasingTheJD
